Visa Conditions

Work Condition 8108, which was attached to the Working Holiday visa prior to July 2006 stated that "the holder must not be employed in Australia by any 1 employer for more than 3 months, without the prior permission in writing of the Secretary (of the department)".

This work limitation with each employer has been extended from 3 to 6 months, by creation of a new mandatory visa Condition, 8547, which replaces the mandatory visa Condition 8108. The new condition will allow visa holders to work with one employer for up to 6 months.
