Employer Sponsored Visas

Overseas skilled workers may be sponsored by an Australian business or overseas business operating in Australia for a temporary or permanent residence visa depending upon the applicant's skills/qualification/work experience and the employer's location/position available and business needs.

Employer sponsored visas are ideal for businesses who need to fill a skill shortage which cannot be filled locally. Given the low unemployment rate and steady economic growth many Australian businesses across a wide range of industries are facing a hard time employing suitably qualified and experienced staff to help their businesses grow.

The Business (Long Stay) Subclass 457 Visa can facilitate the recruitment of overseas skilled workers on a temporary basis.

If an Australian business feels so inclined they may also want to recruit an overseas skilled worker for a permanent residency visa through the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) or the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS - location dependent).

Employer sponsored visas are also ideal for Australian or overseas businesses wanting to set up operations in Australia wanting to recruit overseas skilled workers on a permanent or temporary basis to fill in skill shortages.
