Employer Sponsored Visas
Employer Sponsored Online Assessments
For Business Sponsors
Australia is currently facing a skills shortage across a variety of industries. The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) has determined a list of certain skilled occupations for which Australian employers can sponsor overseas skilled workers for temporary residency under the Business (long Stay) Subclass 457 visa or permanent residency under the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) Subclasses 121 and 856.
Businesses in Australia unable to meet their skill needs from within the Australian labour force can sponsor overseas skilled personnel on a temporary basis, to work in Australia for up to 4 years or for permanent residency.
Overseas workers can only be sponsored for certain skilled occupations which have been designated by DIAC. The overseas worker must have skills, qualifications and work experience in the gazetted occupation.
This Online Assessment and subsequent Online Consultation and Level 1 Service advice document covers how an Australian or overseas business wanting to operate in Australia can meet the requirements to apply for sponsorship approval from DIAC so as to sponsor a suitably qualified overseas skilled worker to work in their business.
For sponsorship under the Business (Long Stay) Subclass 457 there are 3 steps in the application process to sponsor and overseas skilled worker to work in Australia through employer sponsorship. These steps and all requirements as they apply to your business are detailed in the Level 1 Service advice document.
If you are interested in sponsoring a worker for Permanent Residency then please specify via email and we will prepare the advice accordingly.
