Application Process

Migration to Australia under the General Skilled Migration program involves many steps.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate they can fulfil the Basic Requirements, gain a positive pre application skills assessment (PASA) in a skilled occupation on the SOL, be able to pass the Skilled Visa Points Test, and correctly complete the required application forms and attach the required documentation and submitting both with a submission letter and appropriate visa application charge to the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre.

Eligible applicants can make offshore applications for either the Independent or Family/State Sponsored Skilled Visa Subclasses.

Effectively a visa applicant for one of the offshore GSM visa subclasses must be overseas at time of visa grant, however it is possible to apply for these visa subclasses whilst in Australia, provided your current Australian Visa does not prevent you from making a visa application onshore. However if you do apply onshore there is no Bridging Visa available.

Wherever possible, a complete application should be lodged.
